Study Day

BOOKING FROM 23/1/26

Improving chemsex harm reduction, support and treatment service provision for GBMSM
This half day Study Day has been designed to strengthen and refine how services support gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) affected by chemsex.
It provides space to learn and reflect on current practice, identify gaps and opportunities, and agree clear, measurable improvements. By the end of the Study Day, participating services will have committed to specific changes to be delivered within the next six months.

Objectives

  • Addressing heteronormativity as a structural barrier
  • Making services meaningfully accessible to GBMSM
  • Fast-track chemsex crisis pathways
  • Utilising lived experience appropriately
  • Understanding GBMSM lives, sex, culture, and complexity
  • 6-Month commitment framework
  • GBMSM and chemsex service readiness checklist (audit tool)
  • Follow-up session (Online)

LGBT+ community
While the focus of the Study Day is GBMSM, there will be specialised input to recognise issues affecting the wider LGBT+ community.
