Released June 2025, SAFER 2 is the follow-up to SAFER 1. While there is a focus on chems, many of the health and wellbeing issues addressed affect individuals across the board. While existing resources have been updated, ‘Using G’, ‘Navigating Support’, ‘Self Care’ and ‘Health and Wellbeing’ are new following feedback and suggestions.
Content has been written and produced by GBMSM, some of whom are living with HIV, with lived experience of using chems, problematic drug use and recovery.
Artwork continues to be provided by the talented Walter Walrus. An online version will be available on the health and wellbeing website MENRUS.CO.UK where SAFER 2 QR codes are directed for further information and signposting.
The packs, which are contained in a C5 gusset string and washer envelope (230g), include 9 A5 booklets and folded leaflets, an introduction booklet, and an evaluation form.
