Improving chemsex harm reduction, support and treatment service provision for GBMSM.
This half day Study Day has been designed to strengthen how services support GBMSM and the wider LGBT+ community affected by chemsex. It will provide a space to learn and reflect on current practice, identify gaps and opportunities, and agree clear, measurable improvements. By the end of the Study Day, participats will have committed to specific changes to be delivered within the next six months.

- Understanding the need for fast-track chemsex crisis pathways
- Understanding the lives, history and culture of GBMSM
- Applying knowledge, and utilising lived experience
- 6-Month commitment framework
- GBMSM and chemsex service readiness checklist (audit tool)
- Follow-up session (Online)
LGBT+ community
While the focus of the Study Day is GBMSM, there will be specialised input to recognise issues affecting the wider LGBT+ community.
Facilitators
Delivered by the Gay Men’s Health Collective and Antidote at London Friend.
Facilitators with lived experience and subject matter expertise in harm reduction, treatment and support, and LGBT+ health and wellbeing.
Audience
Frontline practitioners and staff, managers, service leads, commissioners.
Assumed knowledge
A grounding in chemsex, harm reduction, support and treatments options, and referral systems.
Resources
Participants will be supported by action sheets, print and online resources.
